Bond trader Jonathan Hoffman generated more than $700 million in profits for Lehman Brothers in the two years before the financial giant failed, and that would have meant an $83 million bonus, The Washington Post reports.
Despite Lehman’s bankruptcy seven years ago and despite receiving an $83 million pay package from his new employer (Barclays), Hoffman still wants his money from Lehman, the report says. Hoffman’s bonus is one of the last hurdles to wrapping up Lehman’s bankruptcy.
