A Milton Hershey School houseparent has been charged with inappropriately touching an 11-year-old girl, according to a report ABC 27 in Harrisburg.
Randy Fies, 34, of Palmyra, was arraigned on a charge of corruption of minors on May 17 and also waived his preliminary hearing before District Judge Dominic Pelino, according to court records.
Fies is next scheduled to appear at the Dauphin County Courthouse on June 17 for formal arraignment, records state.
The report states that the school has fired Fies.
Fies has been freed without having to post bail, according to court records.
Further information about the case was not immediately available.
A separate case from 2015 of a houseparent having inappropriate contact with a student is still winding its way through the court system.
Fernando Zagaceta, 41, of Hershey, is expected to appear in court again on June.
Zagaceta has been charged with with indecent assault, unlawful contact with a minor under age 13, corruption of minors and endangering welfare of children. He was released on $50,000 unsecured bail after arraignment.

HERSHEY, Pa. (WHTM) – A houseparent at Milton Hershey School has been charged with corruption of minors.
Dauphin County District Attorney Ed Marsico said 34-year old Randy Fies is accused of inappropriately touching an 11-year-old girl.
Milton Hershey School said that Fies has been fired.
Fies was charged on May 17 and his formal arraignment will be held on June 17.
Milton Hershey School released a statement saying, “We learned of an allegation of inappropriate behavior by a houseparent, contacted authorities immediately, fully cooperated with law enforcement, and the employee was placed on leave. We understand that the individual turned himself into police this week. His employment has been terminated. Our employees are held to the highest possible standards, and word that one of them may have violated the trust that was placed in them is taken very seriously. We are committed to sustaining a nurturing and safe environment for all of our students.”
