Advantage Transvaginal Mesh Case Settles Mid-Trial in California Federal Court

A lawsuit accusing Boston Scientific Corp. of negligently designing its Advantage Fit transvaginal mesh device and failing to adequately warn of its risks has settled mid-trial in a California federal court.
Trial began on May 5 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California before Judge John F. Walter. Right before closing arguments, the parties announced that they had reached a confidential settlement. They entered into a joint stipulation for voluntary dismissal on May 12.

For all who might be interested in attending one of the upcoming mesh trials – here is a calendar of the latest cases ahead.
Visiting for one day- perhaps opening arguments – is a real eye opener and gives a real appreciation on what must happen procedurally.
Watch for evidence that is allowed in, evidence that is NOT allowed in, the defense argument defending the corporation and its product, the attack on the credibility of the plaintiff which must occur to lay a seed of doubt about her story.
Those who have attended trials are never disappointed.
It gives a real appreciation of how difficult these cases are to bring to court, especially with a limit of two weeks or less! Please consider attending one.
